Credit Card PPI - Help please !

Hi.
This is my first post / question on here, although i often view. Can anyone please help me with a little problem please?
I need to claim on my PPI for both an MBNA card, and a Capital One card. I have been sick for 9 months and on Incapacity Benefit, but have kept up payments on my cards from savings etc. The problem stands though that i am currently over in the US recuperating with my sister and her family, and do not have any of my policy documents with me.
Does anybody know if it possible to make PPI claims from abroad, and if so, can anyone explain to me how easy it is please, and how quick the process is? I could also do with the contact numbers for the insurance, as i cannot find them online. Do i need documentation or can it be done over the telephone also?
Thanks in advance for your help folks.
