18 year old confused about old Nationwide Smart2Save account?

I'm 18 (19 reasonably soon) and had a Nationwide Smart2Save account opened for me by my parents when I was tiny - I have the last passbook for it that was used, which was in 2004, and nothing has ever been taken out of the account. It seems to be in my mum's name but has "for *my name*" in the passbook.
Basically I want to make a small withdrawal from the just over 2k I have in the account (we're talking no more than £100) which I feel I should as an 18 year old be able to have independent access to (to put money in as much as take it out). I'm assuming Nationwide would have changed the account to an "adult" version of the Smart2Save one when I turned 18 but I haven't got any paperwork etc to tell me this has happened. Would I be able to make the withdrawal off my own back or would I have to get my mum to sign for it or anything - or would I be unable to access it at all?
If anyone can shed light on this it would be much appreciated, I really don't understand anything financial

According to their website:
"Once you reach the age of 18 years and 6 months, we will automatically convert your account into a CashBuilder account, or nearest equivalent account, and the new terms and conditions will apply. Passbook accounts will be converted to a CashBuilder passbook account, while card accounts will be converted to a CashBuilder card account."
If they haven't written to you or your mum you'll probably be best off calling in to your branch. Take ID with you

Best bet is to just go and try. Computer will either say yes or no. Then you can consider your options of getting your mum to come and sign the account over to you (or close it).0

Thank you both for such quick responses
I'll have a look in my little "finance" bit of the filing cabinet to see if there is anything that's passed me by but I'll lug the old book, my birth certificate/passport/driving license along to Nationwide tomorrow and give it a go...
