Car insurance

Do you really need legal protection and personal insurance for passengers when buying car insurance. It adds another £50 to my quote.

    No.

    It's an optional extra.

I would go with the legal protection but can't see why the passenger insurance is extra. They are the only ones covered if the driver is liable.

I would encourage you to takeout legal cover. Twice I've had people run into the back of me and both times the legal protection has kicked in and recovered my excess and out of pocket expenses. Don't know why you would need personal cover. Seems like a scam just to get more money from you.

It seems pointless of you cynically using this forum by posting irrelevances just to advertise your website on America via your sig (which breaks the site rules!)

And this is a UK site anyway!
