I used my credit card through paypal to purchase something, paypal is showing my transaction completed and the website has sent me an email saying my item has been dispatched, however my CC statement is showing no transaction of this, how long does it normally take to go through, it has been 3 days. Also do paypal charge for paying for something through them?
regards.

Paypal have probably placed an authorisation hold on your credit card, all companies will do this and they often collect the money a few days later. It's no problem and should show up on your statement within the next few days. It's dependent on the merchant as I've had some take it on the day the transaction took place and the longest being 1 week later.
Paypal don't charge you for the transaction, they only charge the seller for accepting the card so the price you paid on Paypal will match what shows on your statement.0 -
Thanks, also does paypal take a couple of pounds from a CC that has just been registered on paypal, to make sure it is legit?0

They don't "take" the money, they just place a temporary hold on it to see if it's real. After a few days the authorisation hold should "fall off" and you can access the funds again.0

I was wondering this. Just registered my Barclaycard Visa CC on Paypal and immediately noticed on my BC a/c that there is a pending payment for £2. Nothing in my PP account. Is this always the case and when will the missing money that's pending be 'credited' back? Spoke to BC via online chat who have said I need to ring BC customer services.0 -
I have just registered my new Natwest 0% credit card with paypal ... Can anyone tell me if the 0% on purchases is likely to include payments made through paypal? Or is that classed as a transfer of some kind? I'll stop using it on there if so!
Thanks knowledgeable people!!!If you worry, you die..and if you don't worry, you die... so why worry?!0 -
