Bargain buys from Iceland?

Hello,

An Iceland store has recently opened within ten mins walk from me and I was wondering what bargain buys you people can suggest? Some of the adverts are a bit off putting.... (double decker pizzas????!)

Thanks in advance.

The frozen vegetables are pretty good and they do cheap meats and cheeses.

Kingsmill Bread is £1.70 for 2 loaves - white, wholemeal or 50/50. Our Iceland do 4pt milk for £1 (not 2l as posted above).

I also like their cheap loo rolls, 4 rolls for £1.

They often have things like 4 tins of beans for £1, 4 tins of Tuna for £3.99, you just have to go in regularly to see what they've got because their website isn't that good TBH.

My local iceland has 4 pints of milk for a quid and two Kingsmill loaves for £1.50 which I buy for DD when she runs a bit short.I love the Burgen linseed loaves for a pound as they are normally about 1.40 in the other supermarkets. They do have some good offers on at times though its a case of keeping your eyes peeled. My DD buys quite a bit in there of staple stuff, bread, milk, ice cream etc Their ice cream is nice and at this time of year a lot cheaper as my four grandsons will get through a 2 litre box fairly easily in less than a week and at a quid its a bargain Also they have had big packets of biscuits 'Foxes' make, 2 for a £1.00.great for taking to the park with a bottle of juice.

Their own boxed fish is the best ever. I usualay buy a box of plaice which has four in it and they are a really good size as well. They often have their cod and haddock (breaded) boxes on offer as well. That is the big draw for me to go in there as I don't get my fish from anywhere else now!

    Hi SarahLou81 - welcome!
I find Iceland usually have some good offers on tea bags (usually % extra free). I also like their Italian style pizzas.
  • We have a great Iceland store in our village I regularly buy Milk, free range eggs 6 for £1, oven chips huge bag for £1, my husband says that their frozen pork pies 10 for £1.50 are the best he has tasted, dilute juice is usually on offer half price/100% extra free etc, bag of sugar 89p, their own breadcrumbed fish 6 for £3 is good too. I get packets of sliced meat for sandwiches from there, it's the cheapest I can get them. Also I like the pizzas, though I've never had one of the double decker ones!
