Dont actually exist for August do they?
My littlen is starting school in September so we're stuck with having to go in August, was hoping to pick something of reasonable value up but I cant seem to find anything.
You're looking at 2k for a week!

The problem is people have booked for August rather than the end of July because of the Olympics, it seems prices go up rather than down after mid August.0

The 11th is the end of the Olympics, if you want to go book now, prices will not come down in August. The travel industry asssumed people would want to travel to get away from the chaos and priced accordingly, in fact it has worked the other way and the demand is much higher after the Olympics so this year, many who booked early for Augsut have done better than those who left it to the last minute0

You can't find anything... Where have you been looking exactly, Harrods?
I just went on Expedia, chose Barcelona at random and looked for a holiday from 11th August till 18th August for 2 adults and 1 child. Total cost £717. Have you actually looked at all!? (This looks more "hostile" than it sounded in my head, no offence intended!).
EDIT: In fact, when I changed the departure airport from Gatwick to Manchester, it went down to £658...0 -
