From my experience, you will get a better quality kitchen from Howdens than B&Q for the same price. However - if you're really on a tight budget, then you can probably get the kitchen units cheaper from B&Q than from Howdens. Ikea also get good reviews for their unit quality v price.
Howdens should be pre-assembled, saving you some time installing them. But you need a trade account to buy a Howdens kitchen.0 -
I didnt realise howdens would be pre assembled, that will help. I dont have an account but know a carpenter that does.
Many thanks for the reply0 -
Check out benchmarx too, as good as Howdens and usually the same price. Having just done my own kitchen and not being in the trade I had no problem opening an account with either of them. Settled on Benchmarx because in our design they had a particular glazed unit we liked and the Howdens people at our local branch were completely rubbish - other branches would be better I'm sure (it would be hard not to be).0
