It depends. Most sellers will list Dongle compatibility in the product description.
... or if you're asking will a pay as you go dongle work (as opposed to a contract one), yes.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear... I meant it in the sense that if the OP was using a contract dongle already and was looking to move over to a PAYG dongle then it would work
HOWEVER
If they are looking to buy (or use) a new PAYG dongle then they will need to consult the product specifications to see if it is compatiable.
As you will see, this no-name netbook does not support dongles whereas this tablet-based one does.

Notwithstanding, the likelyhood is the the OP's machine is running Android 1.6. She'll have trouble, without some intermediate to advanced knowledge to get it working with a USB modem.0 -
This is exactly the same as mine.

Do your mobile with 3G?
I assume you can connect to mobile which act as hotspot, then use mobile's 3G. But need to be careful on usage.
I don't recommend that 7" chinese tablet you link. Even you want to go for cheap chinese tablet, get one with 'branded' or with uk warranty.
I would say you have a look at slatedroid.com or androidforums.com to see what people recommended such that you can get some expert help you get problem.0 -
OP, now you have linked to the netbook, I can see that it is 3G capable. This means one of two things: It has a SIM card slot, or it is capable of using a dongle.
I suspect it is the former, considering the details don't go into length on compatibility. To confirm this, look around the netbook for a SIM card slot (you can test it using any normal mobile phone SIM- it should fit into the slot).
Now you need to do one of the following:
1. Obtain a SIM card if the netbook has a slot for it.
This can be from any of the main providers as all of them have a 3G Internet PAYG tariff (Ovivo Mobile, a new provider running on the Three network do offer free internet in return for collecting data about your browsing to send you adverts).
2. Obtain a 3G Dongle if there is no SIM Card slot on the netbook.
There are many places where you can get one. To be on the safe side, it is probably best to go with a well known dongle (any from the main phone networks should do) to ensure it works with your netbook.
This should enable you to use your netbook over 3G- what you wanted in the first place.
I can only apologise for a certain someone's behaviour on this thread (rhymes with MakeHis). All I can say is that if the posts concerned are reported as and when they happen, perhaps MSE can do something about it.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.
