INR, legal action?

Purchased quite an expensive electrical item from ebay, paid Paypal. Item not arrived and no response from seller...I know I can start a INR claim but would I be able to involve the police at all or is it just a civil matter?

What could the police do? If you start a paypal/ebay claim you will get your money back when the seller cannot provide proof of delivery via a valid tracking number...

I fail to see how the police could/would help at all.....

Even if the seller had run off with your item/money - the police rarely take up ebay related cases
  • Once you are refunded by Paypal you aren't a victim and can't report a crime anyway. Paypal become the victim (if fraud is involved) and it's down to them to report to the police.

Bit of an over reaction just open a Paypal claim and get a refund
