    I would still advise withdrawing the money from Paypal as soon as possible. The less time your money sits in Paypal, the less at risk it is - there's no reason to keep any balance of more than £50 in Paypal, you should always withdraw immediately when it gets to this amount.

    Not least because keeping an empty Paypal account means that your purchases will be funded via your credit card and you'll have better protection than you would if paying from a Paypal balance.
