Hi cupid, I've just looked at your changed signature and it's all WRONG!! It's "Mortgage free in three (yrs)" not "Pay off your mortgage in 3 years", far more catchy and it rhymes (or uses two words with the same sound, not sure if that's a rhyme or something else).

Don't shout at me - I might cry!!!!
I'm very sorry about my error and I will rectify the problem asap

And when (if?) I get my PhD I will maybe get a new username along the lines of Dr_cupid_stunt. But I don't think I'll have to worry about that for a while

Sorry, I can only be forceful on here. At home, Mrs Dither rules with a rod of iron, followed closely behind by our daughters and then our dog (who is also female). Even though I'm the only person with a "Y" chromosome in our household, Mrs Dither still manages to be both Alpha Female and Alpha Male.

    :(

    Edit: Yep, very nice signatures!!

Well I'd love to join you all but I'm not able to pay mine off until July 2010 which is 39 months away as I'm tied in.
I would have to pay £2230 a month to clear it by then:eek:   so will just have to plod along at our current rate 68 payments left on mortgage and 76 payments until we're absolutely debt free. I dearly hope we can do it and when you all have finished I will just be starting my mortgage free in 3 yrs thread!
GOOD LUCK AND HAVE ONE OF THESE:beer:

  • Hello Kaz2904

Apply to join the club!! -

The club isnt about paying off your mortgage in 3 years (although that is its title) its more of a collabartion of opinions, moneysaving ideas and positive thought from people in the same position as you - those in debt who want it rid.

I myself owe £100k; and along with my partner hope to pay this off in the next 4 1/2 years (got my own blog charting our successes (no failures so far!!)) - Im in the club. In next 3 years, we hope to have reduced debt by £75k-£80k (and as far as im concerned thats a tick in the congratulations box for me :j )

Post your questions and thoughts freely; your successes and financial stability will be seen within your sig. Psychologically, seeing each of our sigs wittle down (DD has lowered debt by £15k and I have by nearly £3k) within the last 3 weeks has been a catalyst to continue putting in the hard work!

    Hi Kaz,

Yep, totally agree with TYAE, this isn't just about paying off your mortgage in 3 yrs. Just set yourself a target of where you'd like to be financially in three years and then join in!

We'd have to change the club name again though and the club is getting a bit oestrogen heavy, but I guess it'll be ok :)

I'm loving this snowball effect...5 questees...the famous five, plus dog. Good luck everyone. (Also reminds me of Chicken Licken, being joined by Henny Penny, Turkey Lurkey, Ducky Lucky. Or the darling Hobbits!)

I think I preferred it when you thought of me as a Knight of the round table, rather than as Turkey Lurkey or Bilbo Baggins!!

Oi! and who's the dog?? (just spotted that)

Maybe one of the questees has a wonderful dog, with magical powers perhaps. Good at sniffing out bargains, for example. Or watching out for that evil dragon.
