I have just been made redundant after 4 months but have not been paid. Can i keep the company car until they pay what is owed. The company hasnt gone into receivership and they own the car outright.

Have not been paid for the work you do, or not paid redundancy?
Not knowing for sure but I would assume the company could inform the police that technically you are guilty of theft of the vehicle, which would add a more complicated side of things to an already difficult situation. Would you walk into the office and take computers to the value of the amount you are owed?
Tough to look at it like that, but be careful!0 -

Given that I know of people who tried just that (stealing the computers)... No OP it isn't allowed or right. If you only worked there 4 months they aren't entitled to redundancy - but either way, whatever you are owed you apply to a tribunal for. Two wrongs don't make a right, and keeping a car you have no ownership of is theft.0 -
Have you been given notice, are you working the notice or on gardening leave, details are needed to give a meaningful answer.
And Marybelle01 is correct, think about it, its common sense man.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

As has been said you can't keep the car until they pay, unfortunately. Have to go through the right channels as otherwise it would be classed as theft0

My guess is that the company insurance only covers employees, so if you are no longer an employee then you aren't insured. (Which also means that you wouldn't be insured to take it back if you've already left.)
I don't know if you might be able to keep posession of it pending payment though. There have been stories of people sending bailiffs around to prompt action from companies, but I don't know the legalities.0
