rentshield credit check

Hi,
My partner and i are moving house and the only ones that where suitable are through agencies.
Im pretty sure that i will pass the rentshield credit check, but i dont think my partner will. He isnt on the electrol roll ( i know i know!!) And he has been out of work for 2 years.
On my wages alone i pass the affordabilty calculator for the rent.
Do you think this alone will be ok or will it be a case of 6 months up front or guarantor?
Many thanks for your replies..

It will depend on the agency/landlord.
It's better to be upfront about your situation rather than trying to hide it, waste lots of money on credit checks and fail.
If you're honest this also bodes well for you, speak about the options you can provide i.e. guarantor, 6 months upfront, larger deposit etc.0
