Been looking and getting confused tbh... All these differant specs! Processors?? I think i am set on a min 4GB Ram and 500GB memory. Windows 7.
Budget is £400 but i am thinking it wont be needed as all my daughter needs it for is general usage plus...
University work etc
Picture storage /camera work - photoshop.
Music downloads / storage - itunes.
Skype / cam chatting. Important for Mum to have a good picture!!
No gaming.
Refurbs are mentioned a lot but are they reliable for a student who probably does not back up as often as she should!
Seem these but again... over the top?? More to go wrong?? Need something fast and reliable. Easy to pay for more than you really need.

E450 is too slow. And for £350, you could have AMD quad core.
How much photoshop are you doing? If you do quite a bit, get amd apu, if not, get intel i3.

Not that much in truth.
Thanks Cisco... just the sort of info I need.I save so I can spend.0 -
I would recommend going for an Intel processor. The AMD Fusion APU is great for getting a budget gaming machine, but the latest generation Intel processors are more than sufficient in the graphics ranks for photoshop etc. On top of that, in terms of raw computing power they blow AMD away, even a dual core intel chip against a quad core AMD chip.0
