Bought an Item which is damaged

I've purchased a bike bag from ebay and all the description was ...
"CHAIN REACTION BIKE BAG - USED FOR ONE TRIP. MY SIZE LARGE 29ER MTB FITTED IN THE BAG NO PROBLEMS, EASY TO PULL ALONG THROUGH THE AIRPORT. THE BIKE FRAME IS STRAPPED DOWN INSIDE THE BAG, THE WHEELS FIT IN THE POCKETS."
The 2 photos were ok and I knew what I was buying so i contacted the seller to confirm that all zips work, no marks on it and everything is clean, they replied and posted the question on the listing
"Q: Hello Could you just confirm whether there are any marks on the bag? All zips working order? I see you are offering postage via parcel force, would the tracking number be provided? Thank You
A: hi, zips all work, the bike is clean and no marks. i can supply a tracking number"
However after a week, the item wasn't marked as despatched or any communication. I contacted the seller for an update and they said they have been called away with work, it was despatched the previous day and gave me the tracking number. It was sent parcel force 48hr but its actually taken an extra day for it to arrive (but that be parcel force's fault)
It has arrived today, badly packaged, just bin bags with tears in and the actual item showing through. Upon unpacking it still has mud in the case (clearly not clean, but I can clean it myself) and a few scuff marks (which i accept as it has been used once) BUT....there is 1 inch long slit / gash / hole in the outer layer of the bag. This was not mentioned in the description or in answer to my question and this side of the bag is hidden from view in the photos. This hole might be able to be patched up. Otherwise the bag is fine.
Its clearly not quite as described, and not worth the money I've paid for it.
What should be my next step??
If I could get a partial refund, I would keep it, but how much to ask for? Full price for brand new from a shop be £112, this item cost £80 on ebay.

Speak to the seller state the problems. let them offer a solution. I would not ask for a partial refund as it makes you look dodgy to some sellers.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Looking at their feedback, they have had 1 negative for something not being as described .

Just contact them and ask them about it and find a resolution.0
