Hotels near Prestwold Hall, Loughborough

Hi Guys

OH is going on a driving experience in a couple of weeks at Prestwold Hall. Turns out this is 3 hours away from us and we'd need to leave home at 5am! :eek:

OH has decided this is unacceptable (men!) so we are going to travel down the afternoon before and say in a hotel. However I do not know the area at all!

I've looked at Travel Lodges in the area and they are reasonably priced at £30 for the night, however I wonder if any body local has any good B&B recommendations.

We are looking to either stay in Loughborough or Leicester which is only about half an hour away.

Any recomendations welcome!

I'm afraid I would probably suggest a travelodge - I'm in Leicester but being here means I haven't a clue about B&Bs!

We did used to have people from work stay at the Castle Hotel in Kirby Muxloe & I have heard of people staying at Faith Cottage B&B in Kirby Muxloe. Never stayed there myself & have changed jobs since so can't get a definite recommendation ...

What's the actual date you want to stay for the night? And is it just a double room you are looking for?

Loughborough is about 3 miles away and both Travelodge and Premier inn have opened new hotels this year.Alternatively there are other hotels and B & B's in Loughborough.The closest B & B I can think of to Prestwold is http://www.guesthouse-rempstone.co.uk/ my sister in law stayed here a few years ago and thought it was good.Another option is to look at villages close by Hoton,Burton on the Wolds,Barrow on Soar and Wymeswold.I've found this B & B http://www.woodylodge.co.uk/ in Burton.Have a good time!

Travelodge opened a new one in Loughborough in June. Fantastic views from the higher floors.
