Microsoft Security Essentials

Please be gentle if this is a silly question. :o

Does MSE work effectively with all browsers?, we have only ever used IE, and would like to try Chrome, and possibly other browsers.

    It works best with IE, but you'll still be protected if you use another browser - Some would argue even more so.

    I use it with Firefox and had no problems.

    For most aspects of AntiVirus, what browser you use doesn't really matter. Some paid-for Internet Security Suites do more in-browser protection than does MSE, but even this doesn't solve all known problems.
