I don't know enough about Fuji products, but if it was me I would prefer the Canon - if you don't mind the colour it is available for £62 from Pixmania - http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/8758126/art/canon/powershot-a3200-is-turquo.html?srcid=369&CodePromo=oui
  • By spec, they're nearly identical. The Canon will have a better battery life though (i've been a bit disappointed with our Samsung regarding that)

I'd get the Canon.. it's just got a better 'name' for photography than Samsung has.

They will both be adequate for bog standard family photography.

I wouldn't buy from Pixmania, they are notorious for selling non-UK models and being bloody awkward about returns.

Even on that listing it says this: This product requires a mains adapter for the UK. Pixmania supplies an adapter when you buy this product. In other words, it's not a UK model.

The address given in their T&C's is: PIXmania, 183 rue du Chevaleret, 75013 Paris, France, so it's doubtful whether a purchase from them would even be covered by the Distance Selling Regulations.

All other things being equal, go for either the cheapest or the one you like the look of best. They're both point-and-shoot cameras from top brands and should both work well.
