Hi all,
I am going to make an application to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authorit.
Without going into the details i just wanted to ask if people have experience of making these applications and is it possible for me to realistically deal with it all, or maybe a solicitor, citizens advice or victim support service?
Thanks

Unfortunately the board will go out of their way to find reasons NOT to pay you in the interests of preserving public money, quite unfairly although I did succeed in the end. So get what help you can.I had the backing of a police support officer and yet it seemed that no stone was unturned in an effort to mimimise the injury, Keep to your deadlines, get recorded delivery because things tend to get lost and deadlines missed, photocopy the form etc, its not like for personal injury thro motor insurance, you dont get much at all and they may even trawl through your medical history to see if you had any existing injury they could use to minimise your claim , good luck.0
