Yodel delivery?!

Recently purchased some MAC make up, unfortunately it was being delivered by Yodel. I've tracked it and this is what it says
Nobody was at my door at this time! And there is no card left. I am seriously angry because this this make up cost me 50 quid!
I've called and called and no answer.
Anybody know what to do?! At my wits end.:(

Get some perspective. "At your wits end" over one attempted delivery does seem a tad melodramatic!0

Contact the supplier not Yodel.
I had to wait 4 days for a next day delivery the other week. It was only because I kept pestering the company that sent it out to me that I eventually received it.
My tracking said all sorts even that it had been delivered at one point and then back in the depot!!0 -

Don't waste your time contacting Yodel, they know exactly how their delivery system works and they just repeat the same scripted crap.
It's the supplier who will sort any issues, they also know how bad Yodel is but ... it's CHEAP !0 -
Yodel are the worst delivery company I have ever dealt with. Ordered somethings through zooplus two weeks ago today.... three 'attempted' deliveries later and I finally get tracking number off of zooplus.
Called to rearrange delivery last Thursday for Friday... nothing turns up. Called on Friday, apparently request not send. Annoyed, but these things happen so rearrange for Monday.
Monday comes, tracking still showing that is 'held at depot'. On the phone again to same incompetent customer services team to be told that 'because delivery had been attempted three times they would not deliver again!' 1: thanks for telling me the first two times I ask for redelivery!! 2: these 'attempted deliveries' are a joke: I was out on the Friday, fine, but on the Saturday and Monday I was in. No ringing of entry phone (live in appartment block) and NO cards left. NONE out of three supposed deliveries.
Explain all this to rep on phone. She then sends an email through to the service depot in Chessington explaining sitution (no cards left, I cannot get to depot because I have no car during daytime as partner works and item is heavy/large and too much to take on the two buses and train that taking public transport would entail) and assures me delivery will take place today.
Well here we are on today. Still showing 'held at depot'. On the phone again and finally been passed on to 'escalation' department. Although cannot speak to them myself, they will have to 'call me back' as they have a queue. I bet they do! I have insisted they call me back today as I need the things in the package quite urgently! We will see if they do.
Asked for a phone number/email address for the specific depot but apparently they 'do not have one'. Right. Until recently I would have agreed with you but Citylink now hold the record for my address (house with own front door and letterbox so no problems about access or entryphones etc).
1st order - lost in their depot and never found.
2nd order - "attempted delivery and card left." No-one had called and no card was left. Turned up 48 hours late. Fortunately I was in.
3rd order - Tracking page showed "Out for delivey " and then later "In our network", without any explanation. Finally attempted delivery 48 hours late when, of course, I wasn't in.
Their nearest depot is 40 miles from me so nopt practical to collect. I think their driver must frequently have "CBA" days when it comes to visiting my town.
These were Amazon orders made in the past three weeeks for "guaranteed next-day delivery". As there is no way of knowing which courier Amazon will allocate your order to, I've told them I am not ordering from them again (as if they will care!).0
