It needs to be reported to the local authority as an abandoned property.
Has it not been reported beforehand?DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Just to add, the house next door has coping missing from roof, no guttering and missing roof tiles, owner is local and more than happy to let this continue.Mortgage start Oct 12 £104,500

Crikey so it has an owner?
I think it will need to be reported to the local authority and go from there. I`m from the south east and thats out protocol here.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

At least you know who the owner is.
A relative lived next door to a house in a similar condition (probably worse). The houses in good condition sell for £1million+.
The local authority - a London borough - could not/would not trace the owner. The relative made strenuous efforts to get something done but in the end sold up and moved out. Hope the OP's family has better luck.0
