Neutral Feedback what is impact

I have received Neutral feedback with "Item as described". I contacted the Buyer as couldn't understand why and they said "What was my problem?" They haven't left anything negative. They said item was as described but saw no reason to rave about it. What impact will this have on me?
I have sold several of the same item and always had positive feedback.

I agree. It won't impact on your percentage score. If you have enough sales it will go off the first page soon. I have received one neutral as well, and it hasn't affected sales.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

When reading feedback, the neutral and negative symbols just point to possible unhappy buyers. As a single neutral comment says "item as described" I would read it as just odd feedback. Some people are weird.0

For sellers it can make the difference between having a highly visible product, or being so far down Best match that you can't sell anything. Also as a seller it can make the difference between keeping your account and being restricted.
It is not important though as a buyer.
Op a neutral is not very dangerous at all, stars however are, so leave it a few days and then check your expanded seller dashboard.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Neutrals can be dangerous if you get several in a short space of time and it constitutes a large percentage of your overall selling. I had a packaging disaster and had 3 neutrals and a neg in the space of a week. I went to below standard for a month! (nothing wrong with my stars, it was the percentage of neutral/neg feedback that did it)0

Could it be that the buyer was a newbie and doesn't 'get' the EBay feedback etiquette? Maybe they just thought neutral means "ok"?0

The important thing is not the neutral itself but the stars. For sellers feedback is very important, not just because it affects how buyers perceive you as a seller - without any other context - but also how long eBay allow you to sell.
Doing everything by the book and perhaps giving a little bit more than 100%, the only poor feedbacks you will normally get are strange people like this. eBay allow a certain number of these people to leave poor feedback before they start taking too much of an interest. One person cannot singlehandedly destroy an account. However, they are also very good nowadays about responding to complaints about bizarre or unfair feedback, so it may be worth contacting CS about this - ring the hotline and try and get Ireland rather than the Asian helpdesk - so it doesn't count towards any of your non-performance statistics."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll just leave it. all my other feedback has been very positive. I do try and go 110%. That's why this was worrying0
