iTunes - Podcast disappears after downloading

Trying to download the latest episode of the Sky at Night Magazine podcast.

I see see it downloading in the podcast view within iTunes and in the iTunes download folder within Windows Explorer.

However after it downloads it disappears totally - the podcast view goes back to "get", it's deleted from the downloads folder and doesn't appear anywhere else on the computer.

I've tried reinstalling iTunes, unsubscribing & resubscribing to the podcast, deleting everything in the downloads folder but no change.

I've found a couple of references to a similar problem elsewhere but the solutions don't work

The best way i know to explain this is that after the download finishes is that the file delete's itself and the podcast shows the little "get" button again.

The podcasts i download disappear. I looked into the folders and the podcasts which are downloaded do appear in the "download" folder of itunes. But right after download - when they should be moved to the folder "podcasts" - they dissappear. They are deleted in the "download" folder but are not stored int the "podcast" folder.

So any ideas?

Solved my own problem - you need quicktime installed to download video podcasts even if you don't use quicktime to play them
