My family always book flights with Ryanair then apartments with Travel Republic or similar. Last booking made was a week in Lanzarote early July 2012 for £145 return flights for 2, (not each) and £140 for the Elena Apartments central Puerto Del Carmen. So that worked out at £142.50 per person, daytime flights...and whatever you say about Ryanair, they do have the best record for on time departures.

and when I say tried, I mean spent a couple of days or more trying. There seem to be plenty of hotels, just not enough flights.

Strange because I can see (for instance) return flights to the very south of France at under £89 return (with the right plastic) including taxes and charges departing mid August.
