Myloans and Loansdirect took money from my account...help!
Hi guys,
I have had two company's take money from my bank account without my permission for admin fees for processing a loan application that I never applied for.
I went down to my Bank who put me through to the "fraud team" who fobbed off with some story of how I need to deal with it myself, the only useful thing they did was give me the numbers of the company's who took the money.
I rang the first company "MyLoans" who checked the IP address and would refund me the money within a few days aslong as I took no further action. 3 days later money refunded.
The same day as i made the first call I rang the second company "Loans Direct" who are very difficult to deal with. I was told to get a crime reference number. I went to my local police station and I was issued with one, rang them back and they told me I needed to wait 3 days for them to send a letter in the post... I tried to complain but did not help, they told me the letter would be with me within 3 working days. Today was the third working day and I had no letter from them, I rang them back today and told them that this letter had not arrived, they asked me to confirm my address but I would not I wanted to see what address they had, turn out they did not have my address on the system, she tried to blow me off saying that the mail can arrive anytime today. I should call back tomorrow....
I am getting quite annoyed at this company now, if this letter does not arrive by tomorrow what can I say, do I have any rights that I can use, even when I get this letter sign it and return it, it can still take 16 days for me to get a refund for a loan application I never took out!
All the information the company's held on me was wrong apart from the card information, which scared me to death. (Computer wiped and Avast and AVG Installed)
Any help would be appreciated!

Go back to the branch and start a formal complaint.
The fact that you have a crime reference number will stand you in good stead - then think of a number - a number you want in distress and inconvenience payment from the bank for doing the job it should have done in the first place!0 -

I tired this on with the bank, I asked why they did not stop this transaction. They told me the funds where "ear marked" sorry for the incorrect spelling and there was nothing they could do about this. How do I go about making a complaint?0 -
Did you ask where they posted the letter to?
Seems odd that they claim not to know your address but have sent you a letter.
Yes, but she turned it round and told me " Whats your address for security purposes" At which point I told her we have been through what is my correct address at the start of the call, she then admitted she could not "see" any information to where it would have been posted to "the last advisor is off today and they would have the information"
The advisor in Lloyds told me to go to the citizens advice!0 -

Once the transaction has been debited the bank has a duty to investigate.0 -

I will go in tomorrow and ask the bank to investigate, its quite a substitutional amount they have taken. Is this more of a bank issue or the loan companys problem?0 -

They have to prove you made them not the other way round.0 -

Thanks for the help, is there any place that I can show them or give them a copy of my rights... seems the bank stuff are not that helpful, which really annoys me.0 -
The question I would be asking myself is where they go my card details from?
Anyone close to you desperate for money?"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -

Go on make them wince -go into branch and ask them for a copy.
Every bank has to provide you with a copy if they ask.0
