EA and 26 week clause

I think we have made a pretty huge mistake with choosing our EA.

When deciding to go ahead, the valuer never actually talked through the agreement with me, just wanted to say to me the conveyancing etc was included in a certain price blah blah blah.... he DID NOT inform me that I was tied in to marketing with them only for 26 weeks.

I have signed this agreement

Since then the listing has spent more time off than on rightmove
Has never been advertised in local rag despite being assured it would.
Been advertised in the shop window at an incorrect price for 3 days after it was reduced......
Much more crap to add to this list.....

How can I get out of staying with them all this time?

Are they all this useless!

Why did you choose them in the first place?

Also, why didn't you read the agreement you signed?

I'm afraid being thick is no excuse in law - you signed a legally binding contract.

    Sorry.

Lesson learnt: always read what you sign and if you are too thick to understand it, get someone brighter o read it for you.
