We’re offering you the chance to have your very own Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet for a whole week this September (by which time the sun will hopefully decide to make an appearance). PRIZES: There is one "Grand Prize" consisting of a week's (7 days) free rental of a Golf Cabriolet SE 2.0 TDI BMT 140PS (the "Vehicle") from Monday 17th September 2012 to Monday 24th September 2012 (the "Rental Period"). In addition there will be two "Runner-up Prizes" each consisting of one (1) VW campervan tent.
ENTRY: Valid entries should be made by submitting a reply to the competition question on the Volkswagen UK Facebook tab. Valid entries must be made between Wednesday 18th July 2012 and 23.59 BST Wednesday 24th July 2012. Entrants require a Facebook account, which are free to create at http://www.facebook.com and your account must be a fan of the Volkswagen UK page: http://www.facebook.com/volkswagenuk.
Entrants experiencing technical difficulties may, at the sole discretion of the Volkswagen UK team, submit their single entry by emailing facebook@volkswagen.co.uk with all of the details required on the formal entry form and their answer. Entries submitted in this way will be no more or less likely to win than entries submitted on the formal entry form.
Employees of Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Ltd, their agents or contractors, Volkswagen Group brand retailers and their relatives, any agents or promotional partners involved are ineligible to enter, paid or otherwise.
All Entrants must be UK residents and over the age of 19 years. Entrants must have held a full UK driving licence for over two years, which must not currently have more than 8 penalty points set against it. Entrants must not have had any conviction against their licence in the last three years which has resulted in disqualification and must agree to make their licence (both photocard and counterpart) available to the Promoter on request.
Maximum one entry per person.
The Grand Prize winner and Runner-up winners will be chosen at random. The Promoter’s decision is final.
Winners will be notified by direct email from the Volkswagen Facebook team and delivery of the prizes will be subsequently arranged with each winner. The Runner-up prizes may take time to arrive; please allow 28 days for delivery.
The Grand Prize Vehicle shall be delivered and collected by the Promoter. Exact delivery and collection times of the vehicle will be confirmed once location of winner(s) is known to the promoter. The Vehicle will only be provided subject to the Grand Prize winner signing the Promoter's vehicle loan agreement. The Promoter will insure the vehicle for the duration of the Rental Period but the Grand Prize winner shall be liable to pay up to the sum of £1,000 in respect of any damage caused to the Vehicle whilst in their possession.
Delivery of the Vehicle will only be confirmed once the Grand Prize winner has provided evidence of their eligibility, including their full driver's licence.
The Grand Prize winner will not be insured and will not be permitted to drive the Vehicle if under the influence of alcohol or drugs, if they are taking any medicines that specifically state that they should not drive, or if they continue to drive if they are aware of any medical conditions that could affect their ability to drive.
The Vehicle will be provided with half a tank of petrol and the Grand Prize winner will be expected to return it at this level. The Promoter will not cover the cost of any petrol that is used during the Rental Period.
The Vehicle must not be driven off road and must only be driven in the UK and not taken abroad, unless express written permission is provided by the Promoter.
The Grand Prize winner will be responsible for any fines, penalties or damage caused to the Vehicle whilst in their possession.
