Finding Tradesmen

I remember seeing a link to a site where you could find tradesmen in each area and it had reviews/recommendations from other customers. I did bookmark it (I'm sure I did!) but can't find it now. I've tried the search on here but not sure exactly what to search for. If anyone has the link or remembers the thread I'd be very grateful.

Could http://www.ratedtradesmen.com/ be what you require?
I have not tried it myself (yet)

From what I remember of the previous post this site wasn't rated very highly (no pun intended) but I could be wrong.

Thanks Richard, it was a bit like that but when you put in what you wanted and which area you got back a list and that had recommendations on from people who'd had work done. I'm sure it was linked on here, but maybe it didn't last.

Thanks for both of those links, but it wasn't wither of them. This was a fairly basic website, didn't have to join or anything and I remember doing a couple of searches and finding companies locally which had reviews (I wondered how genuine they were, but they were there). None of these links has Tyne and Wear or Newcastle in them and the one that has Durham doesn't have anyone in it.

Thanks Poppy but that wasn't it either, beginning to think I imagined it. That one does look pretty good though.
