Who Else can you claim from???

Can anyone tell me if this principle of ridiculous charges stands for all companies from whom you get a service. I've got a company providing me with propoerty services who claim I owe them cash and are charging me £15 late payment and admin charges (sometimes 3 times a week). They claimed i owed them £10, which is now over £700.
Does anyone know if I can just tell them to get lost for the same reason we are all pulling up the banks? Any advice would be helpful. If not I'm going to have to raise a small claim in court as they refuse to take me to court.
