Hi All
Myself an my girlfriend are going to america for a month in september. Most of our money will be going onto a preloaded credit card, but we will obviously take some dollars with us.
Have just looked at the exchange rate and the forecast it seems to be dropping quite quickly if I am reading it right.
Should we exhange our savings now before it gets lower? And where is the best place to do it?
Thanks

I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.

The differnce between the min and max for the past month is about 2% so its not dropping quickly, also, unless you're taking $10000's 2% isnt gonna make a huge difference.
And, as gets saidcon here often, if any of us actually knew we'd be mintedLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -

There is a chain of bureau de change near me who will offer you a deal where if you are going on holiday in for example two/three months you purchase your currency today. If the exchange rate goes against you they pay you todays rate. But if the rate is better/higher on the day you collect your currency that's the rate you get. I have gained a few extra euros doing it for my trip next week.
And their exchange rates are better than the high street chains and the Post Office. About the same as Tesco.
Possibly similar BdeC anywhere near you?0
