Post Office Gold card upgrade

I have a post office Gold card which I have already been settled (6 mos. 0%) that has been upgraded to a Platinum card without me asking. Does anyone have similar experience?
There is no real benefit except that it's interest rates is lower at 13.9% as compared to gold card 14.9%. I have been told that the minimum credit limit for a platinum card is £4000 which I would probably requested to be reduced as I would use this card mainly for purchases abroad which is a good partner for my nationwide flexaccount debit card.

I agree though, definitely worth keeping for overseas spending.0
