Ebaying in America

Hi,

I'm selling an item on ebay at the moment and have noticed it is not showing on the US site. I've set the listing to Post to United States and have gone back in to try and edit the listing to show Send to United States but it wont let me.

Any ideas asto what I can do?

the system changed a couple of weeks back, it will only show up for Ebay US shoppers now if they have their settings to show "Worldwide" items.

UK listings dont automatically come up on Ebay.com anymore.
Any seller who wishes to ensure that their listings appear in the default search results on eBay.com will need to list those items directly on the eBay.com site. Please note that such listings will not be eligible for any pricing promotions run on eBay.co.uk.

Interestingly the usual products I buy from the US are not showing up on ebay UK at all either. I actually have to log into ebay.com and trawl the auctions individually to see if they ship to the UK.

    Very annoying.

I'm really dim at the moment as I'm working 14 hour days in London and I'm stressed, but it took me ages to realise that the items I watch in my usual categories weren't showing  For a while I honestly thought all my usual sellers had gone on holiday or something.

It's a real pain having to go through ebay.com especially as I have to watch the exchange rate that paypal charge me, and have the added time of making sure items can be delivered to the UK. It has meant my purchases have actually dropped quite a bit.

    Soo

Thanks for the replys guys. Seems a bit of a strange thing for Ebay to do but hey ho....

One more thing, are we now saying that you have to decide whether you want to list the item on the UK site OR the US one, and that you can't do both simultaniously?

    Thanks

you can list items on both, but you will pay fees on both.

not sure about listing the same item though, what happens if you have bids on both US & UK site for same thing, unless you have more than one.

if you list on UK, they can still see it on US, but they have to search on Worldwide items, not just on the default search...

That still isn't working for me.

My default search is 'worldwide with paypal' and I still do not see my usual items I buy from the US. The only way I can see the usual sellers I use is to log in via ebay.com and search and then see whether item can be delivered to the UK.

It is frustrating as the usual items I buy are still there, and they are available to the UK and UK post and packing is quoted yet they don't show at all on ebay.uk.
