Unknown account number

Im just starting to look at making a PPI claim, but for old loans which I dont have the paperwork for.

I've checked my credit report (with Callcredit) hoping to get my account numbers, but this only shows the last 4 digits. Do other credit agencies show the full account number?

Or do I even need the account number, or should I just try to make a claim without that detail?

Hi

Can you remember how long ago this loan was, or when you settled it (the year)?
Reason why I say this is because whatever bank you paid the direct debts for the loan may still hold the details, and on statements.
If your still with the same bank now, and bank online, you may be able to track down to approx 7 years, and the account number of the loan is usually shown next to the loan direct debit and the lenders name.;)

I've found all but 2 that I needed. Fingers crossed that I can get some money back, but will keep you updated.

Hi,

I recently sent in 2 claims to Egg for myself and my partner. I had my details but could not find my partners, so I just decided to chance it.
I just sent the template letter with his name, dob, and address on, and Egg replied saying they were looking into his claim, and they had put the account number on the letter.
