    Packaged accounts will be the next mis-selling scandal and the OFT are putting pressure on the banks to make current accounts more transparent. All of which makes me think that charging for current accounts will become the norm within a couple of years.

    That and the FSA are on record as preferring explicit rather than implicit charges on products.
