HSBC money laundering

Here is what I would love to do:

Tell HSBC I am moving my current account elsewhere because of their unethical behaviour.

Unfortunately, I am about £1,000 overdrawn.

If I took a stand & said I was willing to pay off the overdraught at £1 a month (with no interest), I wonder what would happen?

HSBC have been found guilty of money laundering in the USA.

"HSBC provided a conduit for "drug kingpins and rogue nations", according to a US Senate committee investigating money laundering claims at the bank.

Its report said suspicious funds from countries including Mexico, Iran and Syria had passed through the bank."

I'm disappointed that as customer of theirs I was never informed of this service. :( I've been cleaning my coins and dirty, crinkled notes by hand all these years.
This is everybody's fault but mine.

    Ah-hah!

You could just take a leaf out their book and appropriate some ill gotten gains in order to top your overdraft off.

You require a bank licence before you are allowed any money laundering

Ask them. If you aren't bothered about your credit file for the next 6 years, go for it.

But do your homework before choosing another account, do you really think all banks are squeaky clean ?
