Rentak Contract

Possibly a silly question but who would I have to see to write a contract for renting a property. The property is mine and will be rented to my Brother and his Girlfriend, we have agreed a price. The house is to be gutted and everything new, Windows, Gas, Electrics, Kitchen, Bathroom, Carpets. It is a 2 Bed Bungalow private gardens front, rear and drive. So back to the begining who would I have to see and what would the cost be. I do trust my Brother but think we could both benefit from the safety of a contract. Advice appreciated Thank You

1) big mistake. Never let to friends/family! (esp if you are dependant on the rent for mortgage payments)
2) read here
3) for tenancy agreement, your Landlord's Association; or local property solicitor; or freebie off the internet (if you know what you're looking at which you don't!)0 -
Definately get it all signed and sealed in writing. Arrangements like this with relatives/friends have a habit of going wrong, so treat your "tenants" like you would any other tenants you might take on.
I would recommend you read, learn and inwardly digest everything in GM's linked post above. Even letting to family, you MUST observe all the LL regulations and not be tempted to cut any corners.
Also, are you planning to get both your brother and girlfriend to sign the tenancy? What happens if the relationship does not last and one or other cannot live there any longer?0 -
sorry werdnal, I re posted because it is mortage free. Will read and digest G_M post, thank you to you both.0
