Natwest - Really Unhelpful Banking

Not sure if anyone can help, but figured it was worth a try.
Trying to get my mums finances in order for her, basically she has 2 x 2k overdrafts with Natwest, she recently lost her job so is struggling to pay the interest charges on these each month, therefore going into unauthorised overdraft and they are charging her anything inbetween £26-£76 a month, and it is going round in a big circle.
I suggested she goes in and asks them to freeze the account and interest to give her a chance to repay it rather than all money going into it being taken up my charges, they flat out refused, where does she go from here? As she is not working and her partner only earns MW they are struggling to make ends meet?
