I use internet explorer 6 on windows 98 and am getting hit by a message saying " This programme has performed an illegal operation and will shut down" details that follow say "EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module EXPLORER.EXE at" then it gives a memory address. Click ok and I'm off the page! Ive tried usings microsoft.com's solution of typing Ren c:\explorer.exe explorer old, into startup then command prompt only, but it dosnt work for me. Has anyone else had this problem? :-/

First of all.... STOP using Internet Explorer. It's rubbish.

Download Opera. A mere 3.4MB download. Why? Apart from anything else, if this happened whilst you were using the Opera browser, your settings would be remembered, if you wish it.
So, when you opened Opera again, all the pages and text you had, would re-open.
In IE6, you would have to start all over again.

After you've used it for a couple of weeks, IE will become a distant memory for you.
