Do you have any current/ongoing credit agreements at all? anything you still use without a default?

If not then I would consider applying for a subprime card now and using and repaying each statement in full to start building your file up for when everything else is cleared.

Only way to properly build up your rating is by paying everything in full and on time.

If you have a default your rating won't go up by much until it's gone after 6 years from the date of issue.

If its any help I finished paying off defaults in December and if you see my lower signiature my credit getting better.

I had nothing but from July last year I now have T- Mobile Contract, Credit Card, and two catalogues. I have just had two credit limit increases even though I have satisfied defaults on my record.

    It is rising....slowly lol :) x
