Selling flat with same EA as neighbour

This thread is about how agent's operate, perhaps just be a bit more objective in your posting.
A flat or house is a commodity, a product, to be sold in a marketplace, in much the same way as any of the products I named. The comparison is valid.
If you don't advertise it to the public, if you don't promote it, if you don't advertise it, what will happen? Nobody will know it's for sale.
I'm not the only one who thinks this. Look at the other responses above. Everyone thinks you're on a hiding to nothing, if you hope to get the maximum bang for your buck from hijacking only those viewers who lose interest in your neighbour's property.......0 -
if i was ea i'd probably want to charge you a lot more for a sale with no advertising or no FOR SALE board - it may be a lot more legwork (and time) for them0

Selling my flat is very different to selling the products you mention. They want to sell a large number of the same product, I don't, I only want to sell my flat once.0 -

Please tell us all why that makes a difference, or why it justifies only promoting it to the people who've come to see your neighbour's house and have lost interest in it, so may move on to consider yours.....0 -
I'm with googler. Why the aversion to rightmove?0

They may just be a bit of a private person, we don't know the reason.
Some EA's do keep note of buyer's preferences.
What's the demand like for the flats?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
All feels sneaky and underhanded to me. Feels like you want to steal prospective buyers from your neighbour's pool of interest.Emergency savings: 4600

We viewed 2 neighbouring houses with the same EA. One needed work, one was already done up. The one needed work was cheaper. We offered on the cheaper one, as we were able to see what could be done to the property with a bit of time and money.
It could work in your favour or in your neighbour's favour.0
