Travel Insurance

Hi! I'm looking for some help with travel insurance if possible. I'm travelling to Majorca for a week at the very end of August and because my partner and I have had some health issues, the quotes are extortionate.
I suffer from depression and anxiety (managed with tablets) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (currently attending a clinic at Glasgow Homeopathic for managing this). My partner is having ongoing tests (he's been passed from pillar to post) for back pain which looks to be sciatica.
Can anyone direct me to the best place for cover for pre-existing conditions that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg?
Thanks
Lou

Try world-first.co.uk and free-spirit.com.
It will be more expensive, if you want your conditions to be covered. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
The travel insurance section on this site has some recommended providers. Also check the support groups for CFS to see if they have any recommended providers.
The reality is you both have what insurers will consider high risk conditions/ symptoms that are difficult to medically test for. Unless you are willing to exclude issues relating to your conditions then you are going to have a high premium0 -
Hi, how do we exclude issues relating to our conditions? It's just for a week so we just want to be covered for any emergencies i.e. falls that result in broken limbs etc..InsideInsurance wrote: »The travel insurance section on this site has some recommended providers. Many insurers will give you the option to simply exclude pre-existing conditions (and their complications) instead of paying a loading to cover them - with a number of insurers this is your only choice.
Those that do offer cover for pre-existing conditions however you may need to deal with on the phone rather than online0 -
Thanks so much for your help

I have no experience of your conditions but am very familiar with back and sciatic pain. I personally wouldn't travel uninsured with undiagnosed back pain.
I assume you have EHIC cards which will get you the basics.0
