Another Cat Litter Thread..

Sorry guys, another boring cat litter question for you all!

My little madam will only use Catsan Clumping litter. Any attempt to change it will result in her utter disgust, and she isn't afraid to show it! I really have tried every litter under the sun and she will only use this brand.

Before anyone suggests it, I've tried gradually switching over and all that but she really is a delicate little pea and even the slightest change will result in a dirty protest!

So.... can anyone help me find it cheaper? It's £5.74 for 5 litres from Asda. It doesn't appear to be available in the larger bag like the normal Catsan litter is. :( So can anyone recommend anywhere where I can buy a few bags in bulk and get a discount?

Hi yeah I noticed that myself so I had a look on Tesco's website but it isn't there! No idea why it says they have it on mysupermarket :(

I'm beginning to think there is no cheaper way of buying it and i just have to suck it up and pay what I'm already paying!

Might be a different stores stock or an out of stock item showing up on one website but not the other. Here Asda does home delivery from a store in the next town, not my nearest large branch.

Hi yes I do, and thanks but that's not the right cat litter. That's the standard Catsan, madam likes the fancy clumping one.

  • Beeping beep - I've tried looking and can't even get close to your £5.74!

Think you need to have a chat with "madam" - this may sound silly but any chance you could post a pic showing what it looks like and then we might be able to make some suggestions of similar litters?

Oh..sorry! I still need to learn about the litter properly! Ill be heading out Thursday morning to get food and litter for my new arrival, its a mind field!!

I have noticed just now though that the 20l Catsan standard is only £8.98 in Asda so even cheaper than Makro!

Ive asked the current owner of the kitten I am picking up which litter she is using at the moment so I can keep the same to try to ensure that she continues to use the litter tray and she's been using Morrisons basic cat litter...

Reading this forum though im not so sure on the basic stuff ... is it really any good?
