Travel insurance - over 70 and had heart bypass

My wife and I want an annual policy including USA and I've tried the obvious links on MSE but am getting silly quotes. Moneysupermarket likewise.
If anyone in similar circumstances has received a good quote recently I'd be very grateful for a lead.

My parents (both 70) use World First - my Father has got Alzheimers & Mother optical problems. Not as bad as a heart bypass but some companies were quoting stupid prices for my Father.
They've never had to make a claim so I can't comment on that side of things.0 -
Thank you, I'll give them a try. I saw them mentioned in a newspaper review I turned up on google as well as a firm worth trying. Glad to hear you were satisfied with their quote.0

I searched loads of sites for my 84 year old mum recently and believe it or not ended up using Holiday extras, they were the cheapest for the cover we wanted.0

You may struggle to get an annual policy to the USA due to your age, but should be able to get a single trip policy.0

try allclear.com they are good . Never the cheapest but good cover for you and yours. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

Thank you everyone. I'll try allclear. Holiday extras were cheap until I realised they had'nt taken my history into account then they shot up. World declined to quote on my history. Age UK (was Age Concern) is easily the cheapest so far. I'll try this new suggestion and see what happens.0

I have seen Medici recommended previously for PEMC's.0

Thank you for your help. Medici declined to offer me insurance and allclear came in just under Age UK but with higher excesses. I checked out reviews of allclear using google and some people seem to have had a bit of a battle with them when claiming. On balance I will probably go with Age UK but thanks again for your suggestions - much appreciated.0
