PPI Dilemna-help!

Options
Hi there,
I successfully claimed back my mortgage PPI from Santander a couple of months ago dating back to 2000.
We then realised that my husband and I also had a joint policy when we first took our mortgage out in 1991 and decided to claim on that as the reasons for my original mis-sell still applied when the mortgage was first taken out, however we didn't have the policy number.
After a few standard letters saying our complaint was being looked into, this morning I've received a letter saying my complaint has been upheld and an offer has been made.
Whoopeee I thought!
However, on closer inspection the offer is for the same period as my previous offer from 2000 to 2012 but £40 more.
Think I know what I should do but would like to hear your expert opinions please.
Many thanks!

    Hi there

Just bumping this up for you for the right one to come along who will know more of this one.

Sounds confusing what they've done, but hope it sorts out soon, the best of luck,;)

Looks like it is the same claim they are referring to, give them a ring and ask, if it is the same and you get both payouts, they will want the second one back.

If they say it is for the 2nd complaint then that is a nice suprise.

    Hello again,

This morning I rang Santander to find out if the MPPI offer was for the same policy that I'd already been paid out for and it was:(.
The man I spoke to thanked me for my honesty.
I enquired about my existing claim regarding a joint policy but nothing can be done without the policy number:(.
So all in all not a good day but hopefully my good deed will book me a place in heaven:A.
    Many thanks for the advice.
