Garden sprayer for paint?

Hi all,

Has anyone tried using one of those pump up garden sprayers for paint?

I have to paint several large walls that are breeze block and its hard going with a brush and roller due to the severe texture of the material.

Any comments?

Daft idea...you will have to dilute the paint that much it will run off the walls !!
You should be using a roller with a really long pile.
Load it well with paint & go at it slowly is my best advice.
I once had some really rough rendering to do was bl**dy hard graft.

Yep. Silly idea. You need the correct roller otherwise it makes hard work of it.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

    Thanks for the encouragement lol.
Works fine. You do have to dilute it, but not to the point it runs.
Goes on very quick and dries fast so second coat ready soon.

Little tip for anyone else that tries. Find another paint tin, tub, bucket or whatever to mix it in rather that mixing it in the sprayer as thats very awkward.

Otherwise, works very well and fast.
