    Thanks very much.

    Have you used izettle yourself?

Doesn't seem to be any set up charges.

Do you know if they charge a percentage fee for each transaction?
  • Sorry, never used either - i'm just quite an efficient googler. Why don't you read the websites to find the answers to your questions?

Well, thank you, but I have and the answers aren't there :)

As a regular user of this website I know how frustrating it is when you feel that people can easily look up the answer themselves but I am not one of them!

Sorry, to be 'short' with you but a bit surprised by your 'curt' response. (and sorry if you didn't mean to come across like that - faceless posters are a real problem I know :))

I was looking for someone with personal experience, if possible, but obviously there isn't anyone.
  • At the bottom of http://www.mpowa.com it clearly states that they charge 0.25% per transaction (if you're already using an agent) or 2.95% (if you don't already use a merchant account)

On this page: http://www.izettle.com/GB/ they state their fees are:
    2.75% (Mastercard)
    2.95% (American Express)
    2.75% (Diners Club)

Neither appear to charge a startup fee; both provide readers free of charge.

So, the answers are there - you just need to look for them a bit harder

    My apologies.

For future reference for anyone interested.

The mpowa appears (and I say 'appears' because I am obviously a useless googler :rotfl:) to be for phone and not ipad.

And having contacted izettle you have to be 'invited' to be able to use it - they will contact us.
  • Sigh.. mpowa will work on an iPad also

Yes, you do appear to be unable to read and click links to find information. At this rate I should start charging you my consultancy fee

Oh dear how useless am I?

As regards consultancy fees that is a great idea - I could have earned a fortune if I had charged for all the info I've given on this site.

What lovely people we both are to give up our time to help others for free. :D
  • It's ok - i'd only have charged if you'd wanted it as a report :)

Seriously I am quite a good googler in my own particular fields but readily admit to being a complete technophobe and am completely baffled by all the technical stuff.

Admittedly should have been able to click on the right bits but my excuse is that I was given this research to do by my OH and my heart wasn't really in it so thought I would call on the experts!!!

    Naughty me.

Sorry I've caused you so much hassle!
