Labour seen as more competent
Comments
-
To be fair, my left nut seems more competent than the current bunch.
that's the point, innit. it's hard to believe that anyone considers milliband / balls to be a competent team to govern the country, until you consider the diabolical mess the current administration are making of pretty much everything they touch.
the question that people are answering is not really "who do you think is most competent to run the economy" it is "who do you currently think is the least contemptible bunch of incompetent morons".0 -

I am sure most of those people saying Labour are more "competent" are the ones having their benefits (and lifestyles) rightly stripped to the bone.
It shows what a woefully short memory the populus has. Votes are wasted on the voters the same as youth on the young (sounding like a young Anakin Skywalker).
It was no secret that Labour based their core support on people trapped on benefits and had a huge loyal core of people such as that who they relied to vote. The vast majority of people who are indiffernt about it all are the silent majority and what they think probably would hugely change the political scene possibly beyond recognition
What is not good for current politics is we have no credible opposition so mediocrity and incompetence can still rule. however i would still take this over any further serious incompetence proven over more than a decade from Labour0 -
Hopefully the revelation that the population grew at an alarming rate during the last 10 years of a Labour government and most of it was due to their open door immigration policy will knock back this new found belief in their competence0

Welcome to the lunacy of the current political system.
Ruin the economy, other party then wins.
That party then have to do all the unpopular crap due to the ruined state of the finances and all the "jam tomorrow" promises.
Everyone hates the people that try clean up the mess and "ta-da" the twits that made the original mess are back in power.
Genius.
Yes precisely. During their last year in office Labour operated a slash & burn policy deliberately ramping up borrowing & spending as high as possible. It was very clear that the Party (although not Brown) knew they were destined to lose & took a view that the worse a state the country was in the better since the Tories or a coalition would have no option but to preside over a terrible period for the economy.
Since they lost office their sole policy has been to criticize every single "cut" (without ever saying what they'd cut) along with every other coalition policy. The concept of a single one of them actually wanting the country to do well is so alien to them they don't even bother to pretend they care about it. Look at their utter delight over the Olympic security debacle. A truly disgraceful performance but you only have to look at the freaks in the Shadow Cabinet to see what you're dealing with. Anyone who thinks the career politicians in the coalition are bad should try 5 years or more under Ed Balls & his wife.
It's almost (but not quite) unbelievable that so many people are fooled by Labour's spin but then most people are financially illiterate. The population of Britain reminds me of a downtrodden woman who hooks up with a moron that spends 13 years p*ssing her money up the wall then pushes off leaving her up to her ears in debt. Then she meets some other guy who tries to show her how to get her finances sorted & she hates & resents him for it & wishes she was with the previous guy, the nice one who kept telling her to buy stuff.0 -

Don't agree with open door immigration but don't see them shutting any time soon, 2 years in either."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

"To you! To Me!"
Hold on a bit. That's an idea.
Forget economists and businessmen. Put some real comedians in charge, then at least we might find it a bit more entertaining watching our country going down the tubes."When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson0 -
It's official. The uk is populated with full retards.0

Remind me how 'spending money we dont have' is more competent?
Maybe they are more competent in their incompetence?
There not more competant - there more popular. People are blind - they want whats best for them only. Labour would give more in benefits, and pump more into the country - the fact we dont have it to pump means nothing to these people.0 -
virtually every major company in the UK grew by spending money they didn't have
virtually all UK home owners bought their property with money they didn't have
all retards and utter madness0 -
yeh, but the companies and the home owners EARN enough to support their borrowing. THose that dont default and either go under (companies) or cant get further credit, and need benefits to survive.
As a country you cant go that. There should be a consitution that gives a max % of GDP that can be spent on interest for borrowing, and it shouldnt exceed around 20%. what are we at now? around 60% of something?
I dont actuall know, I seem to recall a figure in that region. no company, or individual that spent 60% of its income just serving interest payments would survive.0
