ctc stopped

i have three children one has just left college, one left school and starting college in september and one still in school, have a joint income of £33k and have been told by tax credits that we are over the threshold and tax credits have been stopped. can't understand why when we are earning about the same as we were earning the previous tax year and we were getting chilld tax credits. anyone any ideas

    Because you are only now claiming for tw ochildren the threshold of earnings will have changed meaning you are no longer eligible. With two qualifying children the maximum earnings are £32,200.
