i went to see a shoe box house (i didn't realise quite how small it was until I saw it for real) at the weekend. these people bought it for 360K in 2010 and want 430k for it now. they honestly believe that in two years of almost 0% rises, their tiny house has magically gone up 90k.
the real joke is that some moron will probably buy it. if you look at houses on the same road on Zoopla you can see they sold in 2011 for LESS than they paid in 2010 ie 340k ish. madness.

You have more money than me!
You never know what the sold price is anyway, but yes, prices are too high for what you get. Its mostly down to boomers as far as I know.0 -
Have they done any work to it though? Did they buy a shell and renovate?0

What does boomers mean ruggedtoast?0 -

Largely to blame for the whole world's woes (according to some)...Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Do we have an internet link to this shoebox or is this another one of those anecdotal properties that are secret (perhaps because they're used as MI6 safe houses until they sell)?0

I could ask you why you care if I care, but I'm still wating for the answer to a previous question, so I'll remind you of something:RenovationMan wrote: »One last question for shortchanged.
Have you 'given up' completely and will now avoid me on the forum and not participate in any discussions with me or indeed make any sly digs at me that could end up in debate/discussion.
Or is your 'bye' just confined to this particular discussion and the difficult questions you refuse to answer?
I hope it is the former because otherwise people might start suggesting that you lost a discussion and flounced out of it, then returned in later discussions to get revenge, desperately hoping that people had forgotten about your drubbing here.
Don't be that guy, shortchanged. Stick to your guns and put me on Ignore and show the forum that you refuse point blank to debate anymore with someone who 'grinds people down' and who is 'relentless' and a possible 'professional interrogator in real life'.0 -

Because you don't care about house prices Renoman. So I wonder why it is of any interest to you?0 -

It would be nice to be able to discess / debate the merits of the asking price.
With no common understanding of the information we'd be as well all sayingIveSeenTheLight wrote: »Without any link to the property I cannot make any meaningful comments.
The debate / discussion would then simply end.
Without the lionk it's counterprooductive to the debate / discussion:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.
