Excess baggage

Options
Hi, planning a family trip of 5 to Spain and was wondering if we don't choose the excess baggage with the package deal, would we be able to pay at the airport and would it be any cheaper?

Have come across some good deals but when final price comes up they're charging about £50 per head for baggage. My youngest wouldnt really need her own allowance but does not give you the option of choosing how many.

Bumps the price up quite a bit and was wondering is there a way round it.

Thanks for any help

I believe it is dearer to pay at the airport.

I am going away on Thomas Cook airlines and this is from their site:

Excess baggage charges will apply at the airport on the day of departure. The charge for this for Short Haul flights are £12.00 / €14.00 /US$18.00 per kilo. For Medium Haul flights are £14.00 / €17.00 /US$21.00 per kilo. For Long Haul flights (including Gambia) the charges are £17.00 / €20.00 / US$25.00 per kilo.
